Finland: The Italian Embassy and the IIC promote ‘Design & Diplomacy’

For the “Design & Diplomacy” cycle organised within the framework of the “Helsinki Design Week”, the Italian Embassy and Cultural Institute (IIC) in Helsinki opened the doors of the Residence of the Italian Ambassador today, hosting a very crowded informal and much appreciated chat between Italian designer Matteo Ragni and Finnish fashion designer Minna Parikka.

In welcoming the guests and the members of the audience, while showing the beauties of the Residence – among the most elegant and famous works by architect Gustav Estlander, who designed it in 1912, and that was later refurbished by Eliel Saarinen – Ambassador Gabriele Altana recalled that design is one of the most promising areas of cooperation between Italy and Finland.
