Pretoria: Italian workshop italiano on the automotive and mobility sector

The Italian Embassy in South Africa organised a workshop in Pretoria on academic cooperation on research and training in the “Automotive and Mobility” sector. The event was attended by the representatives of several Italian and South African universities, including the University of Modena, Reggio Emilia and Bologna, in representation of the Consorzio emiliano-romagnolo MUNER – Motorvehicle University of Emilia-Romagna. At the workshop, South Africa was represented by the three main universities in the Gauteng province: the University of Pretoria, the University of the Witwatersrand and the Tshwane University of Technology, whose departments are very active in developing research and technology in this sector. At the workshop, which was opened by Italian Ambassador, Paolo Cuculi, several cooperation agreements were signed between Italian and South African universities aimed at strengthening joint research efforts and training programmes and student and staff mobility.
