Canada, “A dinner for Italy” with starred chef Heinz Beck

A dinner for Italy will take place tonight, the online initiative organised by the Italian Embassy in Ottawa that offers a tribute to Italian culinary culture and to the authentic and unparalleled values of Made in Italy: a virtual bridge to get closer in a time when being together continues to be difficult.

The guest of honour for the evening will be chef Heinz Beck, awarded 3 Michelin stars, joined by Rob Gentile, Toronto’s most acclaimed chef, sommelier Marie Andrée Gagnon and Oscar Farinetti, founder of a renowned Italian food distribution chain.

A dinner for Italy will also be the occasion to officially close Covid-19 AiutiAMO l’Italia fundraising campaign, launched by the Embassy last March to support the Italian Red Cross and Civil Protection in the fight against Coronavirus.

The event, moderated by Italian Canadian entrepreneur Domenic Primucci, and with the extraordinary participation of the President of the Italian Red Cross, Francesco Rocca, and the President of the Canadian Red Cross, Conrad Sauvé, will be presented in Italian and English and will use the Zoom platform.

Among the Canadian Authorities, it is confirmed the participation of the Minister of Justice, David Lametti.

The participation in the webinar, which will take place today between 6 and 7.15 pm EDT, is free of charge after registering at this link
