IIC in Lyon: meeting with the author Marta Barone

Tomorrow, Saturday 25 July, at 11 am, the Italian Institute of Culture in Lyon will stream a meeting with Marta Barone, author of the novel Città sommersa. The meeting will be moderated by Cristiano Pelagatti, President of the Lucciola Vagabonda Association and Anna Pastore, Director of the Institute.

Marta Barone was born in Turin, in 1987, and studied comparative literature at the University of Turin. She has published three children’s books with Rizzoli and Mondadori and also works as a translator and editorial consultant. She has taught comparative literature in a secondary school in Como. With Città sommersa (Bompiani, 2020) – her maiden novel – she was entered for the Italian Premio Strega book prize and was shortlisted among the twelve finalists.
