Considering the success in 2020 of the first edition of the festival dedicated entirely to Italian authors and books translated into Turkish, the Italian Cultural Institute of Istanbul is once again proposing a series of meetings with Italian writers. On this occasion, it has availed itself of the collaboration of the Cepell-Centre for Books and Reading of the Italian Ministry of Culture.
“İTEF – Istanbul International Literature Festival – Speciale Italia” will be online on the social channels of ITEF and the Italian Cultural Institute of Istanbul from 23 to 27 August 2021. Last year, as part of “İTEF – Speciale Italia”, speakers talking about literature included Ferzan Özpetek, Mario Mazzanti, Fioly Bocca, Ilaria Tuti, Alessia Gazzola and literary agent Fiammetta Biancatelli, one of the founders of the Walkabout literary agency.
Today the new weekly programme of literary encounters inaugurated by Daria Bignardi begins. It will continue with one encounter a day with Giuseppe Catozzella, Matteo Strukul, Paola Peretti and Susanna Tamaro.
