On the Berlin Art Week occasion, the Italian Embassy in Berlin will host the exhibition “OUTSIGHT_LANDSCAPES I” from 16 to 21 September. The exhibition will display the works of 10 German and Italian artists living in Berlin, among the most representative of the contemporary scene, who have been working on the landscape theme for years.
While introducing the exhibition, Ambassador Armando Varricchio said: “Berlin is currently experiencing a great artistic liveliness, and I am delighted to contribute to it with an exhibition of works by Italian and German artists. This joint presence is one of the salient aspects of the “IN/SU/LA” project and of the convincing support that the Embassy has given since its creation”.
IN/SU/LA is a contemporary art festival conceived by Yvonne Andreini and Alessio Castagna in which the ten artists Alexandra Wolframm, Flavio de Marco, Nikolaus List, Daniel Mohr, Christian Schellenberger, David Schnell, Johanna Silbermann, Sibylle Springer, Matthias Weischer and Yvonne Andreini herself had a joint experience on the island of Ventotene in September 2020. During their stay, the artists each created seven works in postcard format, which were presented at the Embassy together with other works by the same artists on the theme of landscape, including the film “WunderKamera”, a tribute that Alessio Castagna dedicated to the island.
