The Italian Embassy in Berlin hosted the presentation of the “Guide to the Berlin school system”, the result of a collaboration between the Schools Office of the Italian Embassy, the Bocconcini cultural association, and the Berlin Comites. For several years now, Berlin has been becoming a pole of attraction for young people and families; the Guide is designed to facilitate orientation in the German education system, which has a strongly federal character.
At the presentation, Ambassador Armando Varricchio said “in a Europe without borders, it is all the more important to focus on the training of the new generations. School is the first step in a life experience that will lead each child to develop their skills to the maximum and to find their own pathway. Learning is undoubtedly the passe-partout” he concluded “for making the most of all the opportunities offered by today’s European mobility: a context in which we no longer speak of emigrants or foreigners, but of citizens of a shared home”.
