Director Nanni Moretti will be the guest of honour at the eighth edition of the Italian Film Festival in Berlin, which will take place from 10 to 14 November 2021. The famous and prestigious director will be in Berlin on Saturday 13 November. He will meet the festival audience in the evening (at 8 pm) to introduce a retrospective dedicated to him. The event is organised in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin as part of the “Dedika 2021 Cine Special”. It is open to viewers in four Berlin cinemas until 2 January 2022.
Italian cinema is at the centre of the German capital’s cultural life for the eighth consecutive year. Nine films are competing for the Audience Award, including six German premieres. Also on the programme are a series of meetings and events promoting Italian culture and tourism.
