The Italian Cultural Institute in Pretoria and the Luigi Di Sarro Centre organised a webinar, a long-distance dialogue between Italy and South Africa with the protagonists of the Video Art Awards (VAA), which encourages and promotes the production of works using the moving image.
It was the third edition of the Award, conceived and promoted by the Luigi Di Sarro Centre and dedicated to artists experimenting in the field of video art between Italy and South Africa. The webinar, organised as part of the Giornata del Contemporaneo (Day of the Contemporary) in Italy and the World, was opened with a message from the Italian Ambassador to South Africa, Paolo Cuculi, testifying the importance of exchange projects that cross ideas and cultures.
