Mosca, in arrivo i film della mostra di Venezia

The Italian Cultural Institute in Moscow will host the thirteenth edition of the “Da Venezia a Mosca” (from Venice to Moscow) festival.  From 18 to 23 February, the most successful Italian films shown last autumn at the 78th Venice International Film Festival will feature at the “Oktjabr” multiplex.

Biographies, dramas, comedies and documentaries: for six days the Moscow public can watch original language screenings of the films with subtitles in Russian. Organised in association with La Biennale di Venezia and the Italian Embassy in Moscow, with the support of Banco Intesa, the festival will take place in parallel at the “Pobeda” cinema of Novosibirsk from 21 to 27 February.  Opening the festival will be the film “Qui rido io” (the king of laughter) directed by Mario Martone, a lively biography of Neapolitan comedian Eduardo Scarpetta that examines the nature of creativity and family life, with Tony Servillo playing the part of Scarpetta. It will be followed by “Ariaferma” (the inner cage) directed by Leonardo di Costanzo, “Il bambino nascosto” directed by Roberto Andò, Giuseppe Tornatore’s film on Ennio Morricone, Giorgio Verdelli’s film on the musician Ezio Bosso, “Freaks Out” directed by Gabriele Mainetti, “America Latina” directed by Damiano and Fabio D’Innocenzo and “Il paradiso del pavone” (the peacock’s paradise) directed by Laura Bispuri.
