Last 22nd of March, the Italian Ambassador in Brasilia, Francesco Azzarello, went on an official visit to Belem, the capital of the State of Pará.
During the visit, he met with the Governor, Helder Barbalho, the Mayor, Edmilson Rodrigues, the Rector of the Federal University, Emmanuel Zagury Tourinho and the director of the “Liceo Italiano”, Guido Oddenino.
Ambassador Azzarello, accompanied by the Deputy Honorary Consul Rosangela Maiorana, also visited the offices of the Deputy Honorary Consul and of the Liberal publishing company.
The Ambassador’s talks focused on strengthening cooperation in the business and environmental sectors as well as in the teaching of the Italian language. The topics of discussion also included smart cities and territorial security and the potential contribution by Italian companies. For example, Enel Green Power operates in the State of Pará.
