The Toronto Italian Cultural Institute presents the North American concert tour of the group IDR (Italian Doc Remix), featuring singer Francesco Pellegrino, originally from Toronto, along with guitarist-composer Marco Cappelli, bassist and clarinettist Doug Wieselman, trombonist Roberto Schiano, contrabassist Ken Filiano, and drummer Jim Pugliese. The concert tour follows the release of their album “Pandemonium”.
On the eve of the concert at the Array Space in Toronto, the Institute will host the group at its headquarters in Huron Street to present the album. This event will be held on Friday, 20 May.

“Pandemonium” was recorded in Italy during IDR’s 2019 residence at the Pomigliano Jazz Festival, one of the most prestigious festivals in Southern Italy. The album reconnects IDR’s music of immigrant memory with the ritual and folkloric sources so crucial to their music.

IDR (Italian Doc Remix) was founded by Italian guitarist and composer Marco Cappelli and American percussionist Jim Pugliese.
