The Embassy of Italy in Havana has hosted a meeting with representatives of Italian Civil Society Organisations (OSCs) operating in Cuba. The meeting provided an opportunity to examine the development of Italian-Cuban relations at the cultural, economic and cooperation levels, and to gain information on the progress of projects implemented on Cuban territory.
“We meet the heads of the Italian OSCs periodically”, said Ambassador Roberto Vellano, “just as we meet Italian entrepreneurs and residents on the island”. These meetings “take place on a regular basis. This time”, noted the Ambassador, “the focus was on exchanging information and assessing the activities of the parties concerned”. The Ambassador also underscored that periodic meetings are “a vital space for dialogue and the exchange of information and assessments regarding cooperation projects currently under way in Cuba”.
