Italy’s Ambassador to Slovakia, Catherine Flumiani, attended the opening ceremony of the academic year at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. While wishing well to the team of Italian language professors teaching at the university, the Ambassador also stressed, once again, her appreciation of the cooperation ensured by Libor Vozár, Dean of the University, by Deputy Dean of International Relations, Martina Pavlikova and by the Head of Romance Studies and German Studies, Eva Stranovská. Such a cooperation ensures that Italian will continue to be taught at the University, following the reform process that has involved the country’s entire university system. The Ambassador also revealed that the Embassy and the University will take further cooperation initiatives in order to consolidate the number of students studying Italian in the coming years.
