“3CODESIGN”, a travelling exhibition on the theme of recycling and environmental sustainability, is now being hosted at the Berenice University in Benghazi. The exhibition, curated by architect Silvana Annicchiarico and promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, addresses environmental issues from the perspective of the new paths taken by Italian design.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony “was an important event for establishing cultural cooperation and contacts with Benghazi’s civil society, and also to involve the academic world through the attendance of several university rectors, teachers, and students, as well as the business sector and the institutions,” said Italian Consul General in Benghazi, Francesco Saverio De Luigi. The event also offered the opportunity to establish cultural and commercial contacts in view of the reconstruction plan for the centre of Benghazi thanks to the presence of the UNDP representative and of the entrepreneurs interested in the project. After Benghazi, the exhibition will move to Bucharest.
