Street artist MILLO will be in Athens to paint a mural dedicated to Italo Calvino. The initiative is promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute, which, together with the Municipality of Vyronas and Athens Awesome Experience, has organised an event scheduled from 24 to 28 July 2023 starring Francesco Camillo Giorgino, aka MILLO.
The Italian artist will work on a mural painting project on an area in the municipality of Vyronas, located in the south-eastern part of the Greek capital’s conurbation. The mural will be created to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the Italian writer Italo Calvino.
A world-renowned artist, MILLO is known for his large murals, which are perfectly set in their urban contexts. His style is characterised by the use of black and white strokes with bright colour inserts. He has won many awards, such as “Premio celeste” in 2011 and the international public art competition B-ART, “Arte in Barriera”, promoted by the City of Turin.
