The 8th edition of the “Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World” – entitled “Dining with the Italian cuisine: well-being with taste” – will kick off in Sweden on 13 November with an event featuring Cilento and its cuisine as a protagonist. For the occasion, the Swedish book “Den Goda Maten” (The Good Food) will be presented; to enrich the initiative, there will be a tasting of some recipes from the same book by the Ambassador of the Mediterranean Diet, chef Giovanna Voria.
For the 2023 edition of the Week, the Italian Embassy in Stockholm, together with other institutions of Italian economic system, has organised a rich programme. Among other things, the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm is proposing a conference-tasting by the LAC – Laboratorio del Gusto on 14 November, while, on 15 November, the Stockholm Trade Agency is organising a cooking masterclass at a hotel school with the Italian Chef Academy followed by a gala dinner. In addition, Italy will be present at the Nordic Organic Food Fair in Malmö with a collective stand, together with participating Italian organic companies. Also on the programme will be a School Cooking Workshop for children aged 6-11 at the Vasastan Montessori School.
For the second year in a row, three days dedicated to Apulia will be celebrated with wine, olive oil and typical dishes tastings and a cooking workshop for schools. Closing the event will be the “Days of Wine and Italian Food” (5-27 November) organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Sweden in cooperation with the Stockholm Trade Agency, with tastings of wines from all over Italy and typical products of Mediterranean cuisine.
