On Monday, 30 December 2024, France 5 and france.tv aired the documentary “Les trésors des ambassades parisiennes”, presented by the renowned journalist and TV host Sophie Jovillard. The programme is entirely dedicated to discovering the most beautiful embassies in the French capital.

The prestigious and historic premises of the Hôtel de la Rochefoucauld-Doudeauville, home to the Italian Embassy in Paris, were given extensive coverage in the documentary.

On the occasion of France TV 5’s announcement of the documentary’s broadcast, the Italian Ambassador to France, Emanuela D’Alessandro, stated: “I enthusiastically embraced France 5’s proposal to dedicate significant attention to the Italian Embassy in France within their documentary on the treasures of embassies in Paris. The extraordinary artistic, architectural, and cultural heritage of the Hôtel de la Rochefoucauld-Doudeauville, together with its history – which is undoubtedly closely tied to that of Palazzo Farnese in Rome – represents one of the most remarkable aspects of the Franco-Italian relationship.” She further added: “I am particularly pleased that millions of viewers will have the opportunity, through this documentary, to discover such unique premises, which today also serve as a prestigious showcase in France for Italian design excellence and the Made in Italy brand.”

For over ten years, “Les trésors de…” has been a prime-time documentary series produced by France 5, dedicated to exploring the most significant sites of France’s artistic and cultural heritage, such as the Châteaux of the Loire Valley, the Palace of Versailles, the National Library, the Paris Opera House, as well as the country’s most beautiful cathedrals, abbeys, and much more.
