Italy participated in the event “Night of Science” held in Helsinki on January 22. The protagonist was Professor Vincenzo Cerullo, Professor of Biological Drug Development and Head of the Drug Research Program at the University of Helsinki, as well as founder of the ImmunoViroTherapy research laboratory.
“Cancer Vaccine: A Finnish-Italian Initiative” was the theme of the meeting, where Professor Cerullo presented the latest successes in oncology research and recent trials for the development of personalized vaccines, which could be a turning point in cancer treatment.
The event was organized by the Italian Cultural Institute and the Embassy of Italy in Helsinki, as part of the initiatives promoted in Finland in 2026 in preparation for the Italian Research Day in the World.
