In occasione del centenario della morte del tenore italiano Enrico Caruso, l’Istituto Italiano di Cultura a San Paolo ha organizzato un recital in cui giovani artisti interpreteranno i brani resi celebri dal grande interprete. L’evento artistico, realizzato in collaborazione con la Scuola dell’Opera del Teatro Comunale di Bologna e la Cia Opera San Paolo, si svolgerà il prossimo 19 novembre  (ore 19.30) nel giardino dell’Istituto Italiano di Cultura. La direzione artistica è di Paulo Abrão Esper.  Enrico Caruso  (Napoli, 25 febbraio 1873 – Sorrento, 2 agosto 1921) è stato un tenore italiano, considerato, anche dall'illustre Luciano Pavarotti, uno dei più grandi interpreti di musica classica di tutti i tempi. Con un vasto repertorio, Caruso è stato il primo cantante classico ad attirare un ampio pubblico in tutto il mondo e si colloca ancora tra i più grandi interpreti classici della storia. La sua interpretazione di “Vesti la giubba”, dall'opera “Pagliacci”, è stata la prima nella storia a vendere un milione di copie.  Ad interpretare i brani lirici: la soprano italiana Chiara Notarnicola, il tenore Paulo Paolillo, il baritono Douglas Hahn e il basso Andrey Mira. I componenti dell’Ensamble Caruso:  Daniel Gonçalves - direzione musicale e piano; Renan Gonçalves – violino; Diego Mesquita – violoncello; Daniel Oliveira – clarinetto.  I brani in programma sono tratti da opere di Gaetano Donizzetti, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini,  Pietro Mascagni.
