Week of the Italian Language: Readings of Dante in Bern

Public readings of Dante’s Divine Comedy at the University of Bern. This is one of the initiatives of the rich program of events organized by the Embassy of Italy on the occasion of the Week of the Italian language in the World. Pages from Dante’s work will be read by representatives of the political and cultural world. An initiative to rediscover the Supreme Poet and celebrate the Italian language.

In Switzerland, the Italian Language Week also includes a play dedicated to Leonardo Da Vinci played and set to music by the Bel Canto Association with excerpts from the Italian opera tradition and the performance of the play ‘Sogni di Spettri’ in which the sculptures created by the artist Enrico Pulsoni, hosted at the residence of the Embassy of Italy in Bern, will be given a voice and become true talking statues. Each sculpture is a voice, each voice a character who stages his/her obsession and helps create a narrative path.
