Minister for Foreign Affairs Emma Bonino is personally monitoring the case of Italian photographer Daniele Stefanini and is being constantly briefed on the situation.
Confident in a rapid resolution to the case, the minister instructed the Consulate General in Istanbul to ensure continuous assistance to this Italian national who is currently being detained by police awaiting a ruling on his release.
Mr. Stefanini, whose wounds were treated in hospital, appears to be in good health.
