Within the OSCE

Like all the International Organisations, the OSCE offers nationals of participating States the possibility of employment in its permanent structures (institutions and field missions).

Such employment opportunities may take the form of contracted positions paid for from the ordinary budget of the Organisation, or seconded positions paid for by both the OSCE and the Italian State.

Notices of contracted positions are published on the OSCE’s website under “Employment” (
Those wishing to apply for an OSCE position will have to follow two different procedures, depending on whether the position is “contracted” or “seconded”.

In this case, applications should be submitted directly to the OSCE according to the procedure described on the OSCE‘s website (
Those applying for these positions are advised to report their applications, preferably by e-mail, to the following addresses of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

For positions from P1 to P5:
Direzione Generale per le Risorse e l’Innovazione
Ufficio V – Sezione III
Personale italiano presso le Organizzazioni Internazionali

The OSCE provides a 18-month training/employment programme for junior international officers (JPO Programme).

The tender is normally published between February and March each year. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation funds between 1 and 3 JPO positions on each tender.
Notices of the tender are published on the Organisation’s website, in the “Employment” section.
