“Italian scientists around the world, and the country’s growth”, conference in Rome

Uniting the main protagonists of Italian scientific spheres abroad, and placing them in close contact with Italian decision makers, is the goal of the Conference “Italian scientists around the world and the country’s growth”, planned for Tuesday 17 April at the foreign ministry in Rome. The event, organized by the MFA in close coordination with the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, will open with speeches by Ministers Terzi and Profumo.

Research and business

The sessions will focus on the relationship between research and production, and therefore on strengthening the links between the worlds of research and enterprise, and on analysing how institutions, industry and research can interact to generate growth.

Knowledge mobility

Networks of Italian scientists around the world will also be pointed out as a factor that could contribute to boosting the inclusion of Italian know-how into international research systems and better integrating what is accomplished in Italy within a context of knowledge mobility and experience interface.

MFA-MIUR

The event, sponsored by the Directorate General for Country Promotion, will take advantage of the opportunity provided by the annual Aspen Italia meeting of “Italian leaders abroad”, to be held in 15 and 15 April. Moreover, Ministers Terzi and Profumo agreed during the last meeting on 30 January on the importance of collaboration between their two ministries for the purposes of the internationalization of our system of research.
