PIRACY: Italian ship the ‘‘Enrico Ievoli’’ and Italian crew of 6 released. Terzi “deeply satisfied with this positive outcome pursued with determination and professional skill by all institutional personnel involved”

Minister for Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi, in Jakarta on an official visit that will also bring him to Myanmar, announced the release of the Italian ship the “Enrico Ievoli” with its crew of 6 Italians, held hostage since 27 December when the ship was taken by pirates off the coast of Oman. The minister expressed “deep satisfaction with this positive outcome pursued with determination and the highest professional skill by all the institutional personnel involved, to whom I offer my most heartfelt acknowledgement”.
