Minister for Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi spoke on Tuesday 19 June at Rome’s Palazzo delle Esposizioni at the presentation of the documentary “In the Heart of China”, created by journalist Duilio Giammaria with the support of the Marche Region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development. The event has been organized jointly by the Marche Region and RAI.
This one-hour video-documentary retraces the late-16 century missionary activities in China of Marche-born Jesuit father Matteo Ricci, and seeks to outline the future of Italo-Chinese relations in the light of images and well-known people of contemporary Italy and China.
Minister Terzi’s speech was preceded by an introductory message from President of the Marche Region Gian Mario Spacca, and followed by the interventions of Under-Secretary for Economic Development Massimo Vari, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Italy Ding Wei and CEO of RAIWORLD Claudio Cappon.
