BRASILIA: “Green Embassy” project sets the pace

The “Green Embassy” Project has set the pace in Brasilia and opened new prospects for Italian firms. Thanks to the pilot project launched by the diplomatic mission in Brasilia, the national electrical power agency is ready to issue a new directive, allowing all users, both public and private, to follow its example and utilize alternative energy sources.

This way any energy produced in excess can be put back into the national grid – in the case of the embassy, the power produced by solar panels – in exchange for an equal quantity of energy during lower output hours, with a resulting savings in cost. The new law goes into effect as from January 2013.
