HOUSTON – Treasures of the Venice jewish quarter

The lost silver treasures of the Venice Jewish Quarter will be displayed, for the first time, through 28 April at the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston (MFAH). The objects from the Venice synagogue were hidden away in 1943 and restored by Venetian Heritage Inc after their rediscovery 10 years ago. They include Jewish religious objects from the 18th to the early 19th centuries.
