Bolivia – Italy supports the country’s cultural heritage

Enhancing the cultural heritage and restoring the altar and the works of art housed in the Church in Canton Cohoni, painted by Leonardo Flores in around 1680, and repairing the roof. This is the goal of the “Fortalecimiento de la Capacidad de Gestion del Patrimonio Historico – Proyecto Piloto Canton Cohoni” project illustrated in late February in La Paz, the capital of Bolivia. The project was presented by Counsellor Luigi De Chiara, from the Italian Embassy in La Paz, and the Minister for Culture, Pablo Groux.

The project is being funded through Italian Development Cooperation’s General Fund (FGCI) and the Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), for a total of 265,000 dollars. Read more, in Italian.
