The 24th of June will be a first for a delegation of Yemeni businessmen, who will arrive in Italy accompanied by the Italian Ambassador to San’a Luciano Galli for a B2B (business to business) encounter with Italian firms organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
With a GDP growth rate of 4.4% – expected to rise to 6% by 2018 – Yemen is especially appealing to companies looking to invest in the Middle East in an effort to internationalise. A strategic hub linking the three main maritime routes of Asia, Europe and Africa, Yemen is a major trade partner for Italy: in 2012 alone, our exports to Yemen went up 45.5%.
Members interested in taking part in the meeting are kindly asked to confirm their attendance no later than Thursday 20 June at business@assafrica.it, indicating the names of the Yemeni firms they intend to meet with.
