“Building while respecting the environment, saving energy and improving the quality of citizens’ lives – these are the challenges that Italian and Bosnian professionals and experts are facing as they attempt to make our cities more livable and raise awareness among the younger generations”, asserted Italian Ambassador Ruggiero Corrias as he joined ICE Director for trade promotion in Bosnia Herzegovina Massimo Sessa in opening a Workshop on Eco-Sustainable Building. The workshop was organised by the ICE in collaboration with the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA) in Rome. Italian experts spoke to an audience of specialists in building and architectural recovery on the most advanced standards in energy efficiency and environmental sustainability”.
Meeting with students
The ENEA experts then made a visit to the Architecture Department of the University of Sarajevo to meet with students there. Following the lecture by Prof. Francesco Spinozzi of the University of Ancona on prospects for scientific research in Italy on 13 November, this meeting also fell within the framework of the 13 Italian Language Week in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
