State Protocol is traditionally associated with diplomacy and remains one of the profession’s essential tools. The 8th meeting of “Diplomazia e dintorni”, held Tuesday 26 November, will confront the known and lesser known aspects of Protocol that are not simply pure formal aspects, as they are often viewed from the outside.
Protocol and its principal customs
Does protocol change over time? What does the Office of State Protocol deal with and what are the principal customs associated with it? What are an Ambassador’s credentials? Why are national holidays organised?
These are some of the questions that will be confronted in the progamme conducted by Stefano Baldi, whose guest will be diplomat Pietro Vacanti Perco, currently in service in the Office of State Protocol of the Italian Republic.
