Syria: Humanitarian access the most urgent concern, says Bonino

The most urgent concern, as the Geneva 2 negotiations go forward, is “to insist on humanitarian access in order to bring tangible relief to a Syrian people battered by three years of bombardment”. This was Minister for Foreign Minister Afairs Emma Bonino’s comment on Radio 24.


Ceasefire appeal


In her speech at the International Geneva 2 Conference the minister launched an appeal for a ceasefire to allow humanitarian access to Syria. How to get humanitarian aid to the Syrian population was also central to the minister’s meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
