Estonia – Concert in Tallinn for launch of Italian EU Presidency

The Embassy of Italy in Tallinn celebrated the start of the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union with a concert dedicated to Italian opera. The musical programme included works by Gaetano Donizetti, Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini sung by five Italian artists selected through the collaboration of the Donizetti Foundation of Bergamo and the Bergamo Musical Festival. Estonia’s most celebrated conductor led the orchestra, and the nation’s premier, Taavi Roivas delivered the opening address, which he began with a phrase in Italian. Read more, in Italian.
