The crisis in Libya, migration across the Mediterranean, the dramatic situation in Iraq and Syria, and the conflict in the Middle East. These will be the key points for discussion at the seminar organised by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group. The event, which is taking place from 2 to 4 October 2014 in Catania, was organised jointly with the Chamber of Deputies and Senate of the Italian Republic.
Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini will address the seminar on the opening day, 2 October. Participants include representatives of the parliaments of Jordan, Bahrain, and Mali, the Palestinian Legislative Council and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean.
