A training course for Afghan military personnel and government officials will be taking place from 29 November to 8 December 2014 at the International Institute of Humanitarian Law in Sanremo. Organised with support from the Farnesina and NATO, the course is designed to improve participants’ awareness of the issues surrounding the application of international humanitarian law. The legislation protecting women’s rights and gender equality will be a key element of the course.
