EU Foreign Affairs Council – Gentiloni, working on unified response to terrorism

“Efforts are being made to achieve a unified European Union response to the challenge of terrorism, a response that must be shared with the overwhelming majority of Islamic governments and people”. This was Minister Paolo Gentiloni’s statement upon arriving at the Council of Foreign Ministers being held today in Brussels. Gentiloni underscored that “it is necessary to move toward increased information sharing, especially with regard to airline passengers, but intelligence in general. A major political and cultural commitment is also needed”.
