Minsk: An exhibition featuring the Madonna and Child

A selection of paintings, drawings and prints featuring the Madonna and Child and ranging from the 15th to 19th centuries will feature in an exhibition entitled “Mater Dei. Iconografia di un amore. Opere da Musei e Fondazioni di Perugia e Minsk, sec. XV-XIX”. The exhibition, which will run from 13 February to 3 May 2015, will be presented by the Italian Ambassador, Stefano Bianchi. The subject reflects Italy’s long-term humanitarian programme for Belarusian children following the nuclear incident at Chernobyl. It also ties in with the renewed collaboration by Italy and Belarus in the field of international adoptions.
