“La scrittura dell’emigrante e dell’emigrato. Memoria e presente” is the title of a conference to be held by Italian writer Simonetta Agnello Hornby at the University of Sydney on 28 August. The event has been organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney in collaboration with the university as one of the writer’s appointments within the framework of the Melbourne Writers Festival, and aims to explore her experience as a Sicilian abroad and the link between emigration and literature.
