Hamburg – Homage to Pasolini’s “Il Vangelo secondo Matteo”

A series of events based on Pier Paolo Pasolini’s “Il Vangelo secondo Matteo” has been organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Hamburg together with the Alta Murgia National Park and the Metropolis Cinema. The events will take place from 13 to 15 October 2015. The Murgia region was the backdrop chosen for Pasolini’s interpretation of the Gospel, with Matera representing Jerusalem, Massafra representing Nazareth and the Chia river standing in for the Jordan. The National Park, which has been awarded the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism, celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2014. Read more, in Italian.
