The World Energy Outlook (WEO), the best known annual publication produced by the International Energy Agency, provides an authoritative and comprehensive analysis of medium- and long-term energy trends.
The issues covered by the 2015 edition of the WEO include an analysis of the role of the energy sector in fostering a new commitment to sustainable development and to keeping global warming within the parameters identified by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Two-thirds of the emissions affecting the global climate are caused by the energy sector alone. The WEO presentation, at ENI’s premises, follows the initial launch in London on 10 November, on the eve of the 21st Conference of Parties (COP21) in Paris.
