An impossible interview with Leonardo da Vinci in order to unveil the true dimension of his genius. Massimiliano Finazzer Flory dons period costumes to stage his most ambitious project: “Being Leonardo da Vinci. An Impossible Interview”. The performance will be staged in the theatre of the Italian Institute of Culture in Brussels on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m., opening an international tour that, after Belgium, will continue in Russia, Great Britain, France, Spain, Poland and Germany. The play, unique in the genre, is acted by Finazzer Flory in Renaissance Italian and is supertitled in the language of the hosting Country. Finazzer Flory answers 67 questions and “physically” turns into Leonardo, thus creating an extraordinary opportunity to represent Italy in the world as a culture capable of combining research with inventiveness and innovation with artistic beauty. Finazzer Flory’s Leonardo answers questions on his childhood, on his civilian and military projects and on how to become a “good painter”, and on the relationship between painting and science, painting and sculpture and painting and music.
