‘V(a)lore Italia’ is the name of the event to promote ‘Italy Inc.’ organised by the Italian Embassy in Vlore, in southern Albania, to inaugurate the opening of the new Italian Consulate General. “Thanks to its more central location, closer to the economic and cultural centre of the city of Vlore, to the larger spaces providing the possibility of hosting the representatives of Italy Inc., the Italian Consulate General aspires to become an increasingly important point of reference, not only in terms of the consular services offered but also of strengthening bilateral cultural and economic cooperation in southern Albania,” the Italian Embassy explains in a note.
The event was attended by numerous Italian and Albanian personalities who debated around four thematic tables respectively on: the Italian presence in Vlore, with a specific focus on the history of Italian-Albanian relations; the business and cooperation opportunities in the tourism sector; the support offered to Italian businesses in southern Albania; and the teaching of the Italian language also as instrumental to vocational training and job acquisition.
