The third Italian Baroque Music Festival, organised by the Italian embassy and the Italian Institute of Culture in Kiev with artistic direction by Nancy Milesis Romano, is returning to Ukraine. The Festival is supported by Kiev’s major cultural and religious institutions, including the P. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine and the St. Sophia Cathedral Museum.
A dozen cultural events will be held between 17 and 28 May, including concerts and master classes with the participation of renowned ensembles such as “The Arcadia Choir”, “La Venexiana” and the “Kiev Baroque Consort”. Famous artists will also be featured, including soprano Maria Khristina Kiehr, Roberta Mameli and Francesca Lombardi Mazzulli, countertenor Raffaele Pe, violinist Alessandro Ciccolini, harpsichordist Luca Oberti, organist Maurizio Salerno, theorbist Luca Pianca and many others.
