Italy and Myanmar have joined forces in the name of art. Proof of this is the Myanm/ART exhibition project to be presented at the 21st edition of the Triennale di Milano. Pier Giorgio Aliberti, the Italian Ambassador in Yangon, is an enthusiastic and convinced supporter of the project. He said: “The Italian Embassy staunchly supports initiatives like Myanm/ART, which aim to consolidate the two Countries’ cultural relations and contribute to increasing people-to-people exchanges between Italy and Myanmar.” Today Ambassador Aliberti met with the nine Burmese artists who will display their artworks, following a selection by a jury, in the Myanm/ART exhibition at the 21st Triennale International Exhibition of Milan. The planned exhibition, curated by Professor Mauro Salvemini and Eugenia Battisti, was presented at the Italian Embassy in Yangon. It is sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Yangon and the Embassy of Myanmar in Rome, the Honorary Consulate of Myanmar in Turin and by the Italy-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce.
