The Black Box: Fabio Novembre’s design illustrated in a lecture at the IIC

“The Black Box”, a lecture to narrate the visionary power of the interiors and objects designed by Fabio Novembre in the last two decades organised as part of the Italian Design Day, will be hosted at the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo on 3 March. The event is organised in partnership with the Italian Embassy in Tokyo. A note published by the Italian Cultural Institute to present the event states: “Novembre’s is one of the offbeat voices in Italian architecture: evocative spaces usable at different levels, in which the visitor is always the star actor in a world that expresses a multitude of suggestions: from the cinema to fashion, from art to literature. It is an architecture in which the perception of space, cut and felt in a visceral way, leads to a strong expressiveness that is never an end in itself. It is a design made of icons and symbols that persist over time and show that another future is possible for Italian and international design. The lecture will be delivered in Italian and translated into Japanese.
