“Reopening the Embassy of Honduras in Rome will contribute to further strengthening our excellent relations. The Italian business community in Honduras is extremely dynamic especially in the area of infrastructure, mines and hydropower, tourist services and restaurants. Moreover, Italy is fully committed to implementing the cooperation initiatives that have already been expedited both at bilateral level and as regional initiatives. In this context, the upcoming 8^th Italy-Latin America and Caribbean Conference that we will host in Rome next December will represent a milestone in Italian-Latin American relations that will take a concrete approach by setting up expert panels to explore the issues of greatest interest and by adopting specific action plans,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, at the end of his meeting at the Farnesina with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Honduras, Maria Dolores Aguero Lara.
