​Mamma mia, what kind of language do Italians speak today?

This is the title of a lecture which the Italian Cultural Institute in Montreal organized on 17 October at Montreal University during the 18th Week of the Italian Language in the World.
 
Annamaria Testa, a communication and creativity expert, delivered a lecture that provided the audience with food for thought on a phenomenon which is becoming pervasive and a source of irritation in Italy and amazement abroad: the ever-growing use of foreign language terms, even when the same terms in Italian would be more comprehensible and effective.
