At the initiative of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Emanuela Del Re, the Italian Cooperation Service arranged for 500,000 euros in emergency financing to be given to UNICEF to meet the needs of the people in the Herat Province in Afghanistan, who are suffering from a drought. The initiative involves sending a mobile team to remote areas of the Herat Province to distribute ready-made meals to children.
