The deadline for SMEs to submit applications for access to financing from the 394/PNRR Fund has been extended to 31 May 2022. The PNRR Fund is a public instrument supporting the internationalisation of Italian companies. It is financed by NextGenerationEU European resources and is managed by SIMEST in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).
Initially endowed with €1.2 billion, the fund still has some €360 million available to be used for the transformation of activities in a sustainable direction and for the growth of Italy’s manufacturing sector abroad.
Since 28 October, the opening date of the portal, SMEs have made applications for almost € 840 million in funding, of which more than 30% came from companies based in southern Italy.
